Erna (Martin) Pytell

WILKES-BARRE-Erna Pytell, 94, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday at Baptist East, Memphis, TN. Born in Wilkes-Barre of September 24, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Tofil and Bertha Martin. She was a lifetime member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was a wonderful caregiver to all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pytell who passed away April 16, 1965; brothers Edward, William and Alfred Martin; Albert and Arthur Reshke; and sister Helen Vedova. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Daniel Kaswinkel, Cordova, TN; grandchildren Donna (David) Nelson, Collierville, TN and Dr. Daryl (Diana) Kaswinkel, Cornelius, NC; great-grandchildren Natalie and Katherine Nelson, Spencer and Isabella Kaswinkel; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Mary E. Laufer will officiate.
