Elton John Miller

YORK – Elton John Miller, 50, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Brandy Landis, with whom he shared the last nine years.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, October 9, and from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Tuesday prior to the service. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born October 2, 1973 in York, Elton was a son of John and Carol (Fitzkee) Miller. After high school, Elton was part of Army Reserves, and has recently worked for PE Metal Works. In his free time, Elton enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding deer and fish, sprint car races, spending time in his garden, vacationing to West Virginia and Panama City, and his Great Danes and little EJ. Elton was a hardcore Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and the life of every party. Even though he had no children of his own, he raised many.

In addition to his fiancée and parents, Elton leaves behind 2 sons, Austin Houck and his fiancé Kimberly Deshaw, and Zander Landis and his girlfriend Hazel Lambert; a daughter, Mercedes Landis, a brother, Terry Miller and his partner Randy; a sister, Melissa Funk and her husband Steve; and two nephews, Noel Funk, and Aaron Funk. Elton is preceded in death his favorite uncle, Keith Fitzkee, and his fiancée's father, Denny Stambaugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pennsylvania Great Dane Rescue, 2450 Eastbrook St, New Castle, PA 16105.
