Ellen I. (Waltemyer) Doll

York – Ellen I. (Waltemyer) Doll, 98, passed at York Hospital on June 4, 2025. She was the wife of the late Augustus K. Doll, to whom she was married for 66 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Church Rd., York, with Rev. Paul Bentzel officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at 2:30 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in N. Hopewell Township. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born June 24, 1926 in Springfield Township, Mrs. Doll was the daughter of the late George C. and Vernia I. (Keeney) Waltemyer. She was a member of New Fairview Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Doll loved playing with her grandchildren, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting, any kind of crafting to do with her hands. She also enjoyed many bus trips and camping with her husband in their retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlene A. Seymore and her husband Steve; her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Seymore; her grandson, Cody Seymore and his wife Isabelle; and her sister Ruth Henry. She is preceded in death by her son, Dale A. Doll; her brothers, Charles, George, John, and Russell Waltemyer; and her sisters, Sarah Rodgers and Bessie Sipe.
