Elizabeth J. (Ziegler) Rupp

YORK- Elizabeth J. (Ziegler) Rupp, 89, of York Township, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Elwood M. Rupp, Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Mrs. Rupp was born in Lancaster on July 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Melinda (Rainier) Ziegler. She retired as a cook for Stoneybrook Family Restaurant in York; prior to that she was a York City Police Officer. Mrs. Rupp leaves a son, Elwood M. Rupp, Jr. of York; two daughters, Melinda Sexton of York and Mary Loucks of Dover; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; a brother, William Ziegler of York; and a sister, Helen Praul of Loganville.
