Elizabeth A. Runkle

YORK - Elizabeth A. Runkle, 76, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 at Misericordia Convalescent Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance of the cemetery at 1:45 PM Thursday. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 30, 1933 in York a daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Reba M. Fauth Runkle, she was a longtime pediatric nurse at York Hospital. Miss Runkle was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church; enjoyed tending to her rose gardens; and enjoyed volunteering her time at a variety of programs that benefited children.
