HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Eleanor Dress, 83, of the Lee Park section of Hanover Township, passed away Tuesday evening at her home. Born in Lee Park on July 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late William and Verna (Kowaleski) Koscinski. She was a 1944 graduate of Hanover High School and 1947 graduate of Bushwick Nursing School, Brooklyn. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Dress was formerly employed by the Tunkhannock School District as a nurse at the elementary school. Prior to that she was a nurse at Bushwick Hospital, Brooklyn. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Wilkes-Barre and enjoyed playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, who passed away in December 2002; a brother, William and sister, Irene Rhodes. Surviving are her brother, John Koscinski, Media; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Andrew Sinnott will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Boniface Camp St. George, 316 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
