Edward H. Cosgrove

YORK- Edward H. Cosgrove, 94, died on Friday, September 4, 2026 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Marian E. (Stare) Cosgrove. The couple wed on November 10, 1976.

Born on September 2, 1932 in York, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Marian E. (Mull) Cosgrove. Ed was an engineer at Borg Warner Corp. until his retirement. He and his wife attended North Hills Bible Church.

He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan who also enjoyed bowling, traveling, especially to Europe, and mall walking. His faith was very important to him, and he loved the Lord and reading his Bible.

Along with his wife, Marian, Ed is survived by his daughter, Karrie Rowland and her husband, Robert of Martinsburg, WV; son, Jeffrey L. Wolf of Red Lion; three grandchildren, Jill Sprenkle of Omaha, NE, Gary Gilberthorp, Jr. and his partner, Tracey Schmauch of Perry Co. and Denise Billet of Mt. Wolf; three great grandchildren, Summer Green and her partner, Tony Fletcher of Red Lion, Andrew Billet of Mt. Wolf and Amanda Hiliar and husband; three great great grandchildren, Kaelyn Savinon, T.J. Fletcher and Zerabella Billet; and sister, Lannah De Groft and husband. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Gallatin and Georgianna Updegraff.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor David Moss officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
