Edward C. Orth, Sr.

YORK- Edward C. Orth, Sr., 96, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Village in York. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd. Burial will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery with a Graveside service. Born June 5, 1921 in Kulp, PA, Edward was a son to the late Arthur and Eva (Longeberger) Orth. Mr. Orth served our country in the United States Army Airforce, specifically in the Coast Artillery Corp from 1940-1943, the Army Air Corp from 1943-1945, and flew with the 344th Bomb Group. Mr. Orth is survived by two sons, Edward C. Orth, Jr., and Douglas E. Orth; a daughter, Susan A. Orth; a granddaughter, Olivia, and a brother, Arthur Orth, Jr. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and an infant daughter, Deborah Ann.
