Edward C. Crone

YORK – Edward C. Crone, 76, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at York Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard.

Born April 8, 1946 in York, a son of the late Cleason and Edna M. (Wintermyer) Crone; he was a graduate of Central York High School. Mr. Crone had retired from the former J.E. Baker Co. He was a member of VFW Post 7374, Viking A.A., and Hawks Gunning Club. Edward enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson “Fat Boy” motorcycle. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Crone is survived by a son, Shannon M. Crone of York; two grandsons, Elias and Royal; and a brother, Brian G. Crone of Reading.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William G. Crone.
