Doris Ann Heigl

YORK-Doris Ann (Runquist) Heigl, 90, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late John Jacob Heigl.

Mrs. Heigl was born in Staten Island, NY on February 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Eric and Ann C. (Mullick) Runquist. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Quilting Guild. She also enjoyed reading and gardening.

Mrs. Heigl leaves three daughters, Janet Tursi and her husband Vito of Palm City FL, Linda Stout and her husband David of Spring Grove, and Karen DiNoto and her husband John of Stockholm, NJ; a son, John Heigl of York; two grandchildren, Kenneth and Christopher Senatore; and a great granddaughter, Giovanna Senatore. She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Runquist and a brother, Arthur Runquist.

Services will be private with burial in Grandview Cemetery in Allentown. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
