Dorcas Marie Goodling

YORK-Dorcas Goodling, 97 passed away November 3, 2023, at Normandie Ridge. She was born August 11, 1926, in York, daughter of the late Elmer E. and Lillie (Glatfelter) Ehrhart. She graduated from North York High in 1944 and was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church for over 60 years and Joy Class Sunday School.

She was employed at Boring’s Furniture, York Dress and D.E. Wolfgang’s Candy, from where she retired after 18 years. Dorcas enjoyed reading, walking, fill-in puzzle books and making fudge to share with neighbors, doctors and employees at Weis and CVS Pharmacy. She also loved the Baltimore Orioles and never missed watching a game.

Dorcas is survived by her son Darryl Goodling and his wife Dottie and daughter-in-law, Lauren Goodling, grandchildren, Brett, Freeman, Shannon, June, Jim and Rich, great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brianna, Cameron, Colby, Lexie and Taylor, Nicholas, Emily, Nick, Angela and Keith and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Dorcas was preceded in death by her son Brian, three sisters and three brothers.

Memorial services and celebration of life will be held at the Normandie Ridge sanctuary November, 17,2023 at 11:15 A.M. Officiating will be Chaplin Jose Diaz, BCC.

Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 1300 N. Beaver St., York.
