Donald Joseph Naumann

YORK- Donald Joseph Naumann, 83, of West Manchester Township, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. He was the husband of Karen (Schroeder) Naumann. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 7, 2024.

 A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2215 Brandywine Lane in York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. His pastor, The Reverend Kevin Stout will be officiating at the service. His urn will be placed in a niche at Zion Lutheran Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. 

Mr. Naumann was born in Bronx, NY on December 21, 1940, the son of Charles Robert and Margaret (Bojarski) Naumann. He worked for Safeway Stores in York for over 25 years and retired from Marisol, Inc in New Jersey in 2007. 

Donald was very active in Zion Lutheran Church in York and prior to that he attended Messiah Lutheran Church. He served as past president at the Boys Club of York where he was dedicated. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them on many trips out west. 

Along with his wife, Karen, he leaves a daughter, Melissa Gohn and her husband John of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Brooks and his wife Julie Naumann, Bryce Naumann, John Gohn, Jr., and Joshua Gohn; three great grandchildren Zachary, Layla, and Audrey; a brother, Bill Naumann; a sister, Pat Rulnick; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Naumann. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Naumann and a great granddaughter, Sara Naumann.
