FELTON—Donald L. Miller, 85, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at his residence in Chanceford Township. He was the husband of the late Connie L. (Coeyman) Miller to whom he was married for 54 years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Born November 17, 1939 in Shrewsbury, he was the son of the late Cowhick W. and Anna R. (Sherbocker) Miller. He served in the United States Army, deployed overseas for several years until he was honorably discharged in 1960.
He was employed as a union carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters – Local 191 for many years until his retirement in 2002.
Often you would find him working in the shop behind his house, where he’d be woodworking or tinkering with something that needed repaired. He also took pride in his property and enjoyed repairing and upgrading things around the house. He was also the past treasurer of United Brotherhood of Carpenter’s Union – Local 191.
Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter, Rachel Lane and her husband, Ed of Felton; four grandchildren, Ethan Lane and his wife, Nikki, Kiersten Miller and Hannah and Gavin Lane; two brothers, Sonny Miller, Fred Miller; one sister, Lila Kohler and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Miller; five siblings, Edward, Gemmil and Dale Miller and Mary Kauffman and Anna Marie Saubel.
