Donald N. Green

YORK- Donald N. Green, 91, died on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Autumn House East. He was the husband of Bertha E. (Wintle) Green to whom he was married for 72 years.

Born on June 16, 1934 in Exeter, he was a son of the late Frank F. and Louise E. (Marsh) Green. Donald was a control room operator at PPL Electric until his retirement.

Donald was a member of East Minster Presbyterian Church. He was a wonderful husband and an excellent father and grandfather.

Along with his wife, Bertha, Donald is survived by his daughter, Susan Shanaman and her husband, Ken of York; and granddaughter, Amy Shanaman and her husband, Tom McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Green.

A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is honored to serve the family.
