WILKES-BARRE- Donald C. Eckert, 79, of McCarraghter Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday morningat Davis Manor, Mountain Top. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 27, 1927, he was the son of the late Lester and Irene (Pascoe) Eckert. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Donald worked for Acme Markets for over 38 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre. Surviving is a daughter, Pamela Aigeldinger, Mountain Top; 2 grandchildren, Jared and Jillian; 2 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by; his wife Margaret " Peggy" (Kresge) Eckert and his son Frank D. Eckert. The funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 316 Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be Father Andy Sinnott.
