Donald Brian Kern

YORK – Donald Brian Kern, 66, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Yorkview Nursing & Rehab Center. He was the husband of Angela F. (Fantom) Kern to whom he would have celebrated 23 years of marriage on August 2, 2023.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, August 7, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Jay McWilliams officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Born August 2, 1956 in York, the son of Donald L. Kern of York and the late Sandy Y. (Leader) Kern; he was a 1975 graduate of York Vo-Tech. Brian was an owner and manager of K&M Home Center until his stroke on January 1, 2018. He loved his time working with the K&M customers and enjoyed nothing more than heading to his beach home in the Outer Banks with his wife Angel and their Pekingese dogs.

In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Kern is survived by his stepdaughter, Amy R. Hess of York; two sisters, Abby and husband Gary Schroeder of Dallastown and Beth Kern and her husband Youssef Ben Amar of Dallastown; and his nieces and nephews.
