Williamsport- Don E. Taylor, 76, of Williamsport, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville. Born July 31, 1930 in Montgomery, a son of thirteen children to the late George A. and Stella M. (Hill) Taylor. Don was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Keystone Friction Hinge Company of S. Williamsport as a manufacturer for several years. Don enjoyed carpentry and made furniture for children. He really enjoyed Country Western music and John Wayne movies. In his spare time he liked to fish and go to yard sales. Don was also an avid and loyal lottery player. A funeral service will be held 7pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 331 Elmira St., Williamsport. Calling hours will be 6 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the funeral home. Don is survived by a son, Jeff and his wife, Kathy Taylor of Williamsport; a daughter, Donna and her husband, John Carkner of Williamsport; five grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Myrtle Lapp of S. Williamsport, Betty Holmes of Williamsport, and Maryann Laudenslager of Williamsport. His former wife, Janet Hughes and nine of his brothers and sisters precede him in death.
