Dominick P. Picone

FELTON-Dominick P. Picone, 73, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at his residence. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret C. (Shaffer) Picone. A celebration of life memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. Paul's Lebanon Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Hall, 6955 Rippling Run Road, Felton, with Vicar James V. Arter officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-10:30, Saturday at the church. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Picone was born December 14, 1935 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Dominick and Josephine T. (Messina) Picone. He was a former employee of General Instrument for over 25 years as an electronic technician until his retirement. Mr. Picone is survived by a son, David P. Picone and wife, Sheri L. of Felton; two daughters, Jennifer A. Scarborough and husband, Robert E. of Felton, and Susan A. Miller and husband, Mark of Stewartstown; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Cassell of Fallston, MD, and Virginia Fay of Timonium, MD; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Marie Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Services, 912 S. George St., York, PA, 17403.
