Dennis L. Hershner

NEW PARK- Dennis L. “Denny” Hershner, 74 of East Hopewell Twp., passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Linda L. (Warner) Hershner. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2025.

All services will be private, with burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Denny was born in Felton on June 24, 1951, a son of the late Charles L. and Betty Jane (Shirey) Hershner. He retired from Johnson Controls after over 40 years of service.

He was a 1970 graduate of York Vo-Tech. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed working on old cars. He loved his many pet dogs over the years and enjoyed hunting in his younger years.

Along with his wife Linda, Denny leaves a son, Chad M. Hershner of New Park; a brother, Tim Hershner and his wife Judy of Homosassa, FL, and his neighbor Kurt, who spent time talking with him during his illness. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maggie E. Dellinger and a brother, Charles “Steve” Hershner.
