Dennis F. Cunningham

WRIGHSTVILLE- Dennis F. Cunningham, 64, died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mary J. (Myers) Cunningham. The couple celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on November 15, 2009. A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and a visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Dennis was born in Hellam on April 27, 1945, a son of the late Spurgeon H. and Estella G. (Reever) Cunningham. He retired in 2007 from Harley Davidson, where he had 33 years of service. Dennis was a member of Wrightsville American Legion Post 469, Wrightsville Men's Social Club, Hawk's Gunning Club, and Liberty Social Club. He served in the US Air Force. Dennis leaves ten brothers, Preston, Spurgeon, Jr., James, Blaine, Kenneth, Clarence, Alan, Barry, Mark, and Robert; nine sisters, June, Gladys, Pat, Phyllis, Darlene, Judy, Linda, Marylou, and Alma; five sons, Dennis Cunningham, Jr. of Simms, TX; Derrick Cunningham of York, Thomas McKee of Cincinnati, OH, John McKee of Mechanicsburg and Robert McKee of Wrightsville; ten grandchildren, Cory, Amber, Seth, Abagail, Harlie, Bradley, Kaitlynn, Robert, Megan, and Nolan; Eight step grandchildren, Nick, Greg, Joey, Faith, Emily, Teonna, Christian, and Destiny; two great grandsons, Nickolas and Noah, and nieces and nephews. A son, Steven McKee, a daughter, Deena Cunningham and grandchildren, Joshua McKee, Rowdy Cunningham, Laura Wilkinson, and Tyler Roberts, preceded him in death.
