Delano D. Gregory

YORK – Delano D. Gregory, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Inners Creek Nursing & Rehab. He was the husband of Daune M. (Frey) Gregory with whom he celebrated 68 years of marriage on December 13, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM on Tuesday at the Cemetery entrance. Full military rites will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born April 27, 1933 in South Newbury, New Hampshire, a son of the late Leo and Hazel (Colburn) Gregory, he retired from Stewart & March Inc. In retirement, Mr. Gregory continued to work with his brother at Gregory Construction. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed automotive racing. Mr. Gregory was a US Army veteran of The Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Gregory is survived by a son, Dirk L. and wife Kim Gregory of Dallastown; a granddaughter, Misty Gregory; two great grandchildren, Briley and Kaia Stevenson; a brother, Gary Gregory of York; and a sister, Nancy Perry of York.
