Deborah Ann Mull

YORK – Deborah Ann (Ugarek) Mull, 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Hollis Frederick “Fred” Mull. The couple recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on November 18.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30 PM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating the service. There will be a viewing from 12:00-1:30 PM at the funeral home. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by searching Deborah’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com. Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery in York.

Born on January 28, 1951, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Mary J. (Conti) Ugarek. Mrs. Mull previously attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York. For most of her working life, she was a child caregiver for before- and after-school programs to many students from Devers Elementary School in York. Prior to that, she worked as a beautician in Pittston.

Outside of her faith and strong work ethic, Deborah enjoyed going to the casino, taking drives through farmland to see the animals—especially cows—setting up bird feeders, and decorating for every season. Her family lovingly noted that Deborah was famously never on time, a trait well known to everyone who loved her.

Surviving are her two children, Tommy Davis (Angie) and Laura Lynn Davis of York; two grandchildren, Michael Davis and Bracquel Davis; and a step son, Allen F. Mull.
