Deborah Lynn Meckley

THOMASVILLE- Deborah Lynn Meckley, 47, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 York. Certified Celebrant, Betty Frey will officiate the service. A viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Debbie was born on March 16, 1963 in Hanover, a daughter of the late Richard G. and Mary Jeanne (McKinney) Meckley. Debbie loved horses, antiques, flowers and gardening. She was a former member of the Chamber of Commerce in Abbottstown. Debbie is survived by a son, Michael Meckley of New Oxford; two brothers, Steven Meckley of York and Richard Meckley of York; a stepbrother, Anthony Sterner of Thomasville; three sisters, Linda Menchey, Jane Snyder of East Berlin, and Lori Meckley of York; a stepmother, Peggy Meckley; and five nephews. Debbie had a great joy for flowers. The family encourages anyone wishing to send flowers may do so.
