Deborah (Corey) Giacopelli

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY- Deborah (Corey) Giacopelli, 70, died on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late Matthew Giacopelli who died in 2015. The couple celebrated 42 years of marriage before Matthew’s passing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 251 East Main St., Dallastown. A viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9th at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born on December 10, 1952 in Hoboken, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Geraldine (nee Doyle) Corey. Deborah was a Human Resources Specialist at The State University of New York until her retirement in 2013.

Mrs. Giacopelli was a member of St. Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church in Huntington Station, NY.

Deborah is survived by her son, Matthew Giacopelli and his wife Joy Lemke of Yoe; four grandchildren, Gustave Giacopelli, Timothy Giacopelli, Christopher Giacopelli and Jacob Giacopelli; and brother-in-law, James Giacopelli and his wife, Valerie of The Villages, FL. She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Corey.
