Dean M. Crone

DOVER- Dean M. Crone, 88, of Dover Township, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of Loris Anne (Hartman) Crone. The couple was married for over 66 years.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Certified Celebrant Allison Duke will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Rohlers Mountainview Cemetery in Dover.

Mr. Crone was born in Dover on March 14, 1935, the son of the late Paul and Susie M. (Wentz) Crone. He was a life-long farmer and worked for over ten years for York County Parks Department. He received the Century Farm Award. His farm had been in the family for almost 200 years.

Mr. Crone leaves two daughters, Cindy Crone of Dover, Tara Yinger and her husband Tim of Manchester; two sons, Erik Crone and his wife Adrienne of Dover, and Mark Crone and his wife Shirl of Dover; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, Clair Crone. He was preceded in death by two brothers Sterling Crone and his twin brother, Dale Crone.
