David Paul Weber

David Paul Weber

David P. Weber, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 surrounded by

family. He was the husband of Janis L. (Seemiller) Weber. Dave was born on April 11,

1942 in Franklin, PA to the late Robert J. and Marie H. (Crisman) Weber. He grew up in

Knox, PA with his parents and several brothers and sisters. He attended Keystone High

School and graduated in 1960. Dave was proud of his time spent in athletics on the

football and track and field teams. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army

where he was stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia.


While at Fort Lee, Dave started a family with Judith A. Weber. After being honorably

discharged from the U.S. Army, Dave and his family returned to Knox where he worked

for the U.S. Forest Service. During his time with the U.S. Forest Service, he investigated

forest fires and often played the part of Smokey the Bear educating the public. In

February of 1969, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police Academy where he

served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper for more than 20 years retiring in 1991.


In July 2009, Dave married Janis. Dave and Jan enjoyed spending time at their home in

Florida. They also enjoyed rescuing dogs together.


Dave was a loving husband and father. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time

playing and watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and Penn State football.

He also enjoyed spending time with and sharing stories with his grandchildren.


Along with his wife, Janis, Dave is survived by five daughters, Janet Anderson, Tracy

Butler, Jill Bohannon and her husband, Chad, Hillary Crescini and her husband, Scott

and Daphne Canale and her husband, Joe; step son, Trevor Smith and step daughter,

Sarah Sennett and her husband, Andy; 11 grandchildren, Morgan, Johanna, Amber,

Andrew, Jakob, Claire, Lily, Kirsten, Brendon, Connor, Zoey and Elizabeth; four great

grandchildren, Autumn, Ada, Nora and Maeve; four brothers, Edward Weber and his

wife, Shirley, Terry Weber and his wife, Carrie, Jack Weber and his wife, Cindy and

Denny Weber and his wife, Vickie; and three sisters, Linda Benson, Beth Seyler and her

husband, Jim and Lois Ann Schmidt. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert

Weber and Walter Weber; and three sisters, Phyllis Weber, Paula Weaver and Cindy

Benson.


A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Ft.

Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville with Certified

Celebrant Amy Favorito officiating. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St.,

Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements.
