David M. “Marty” Moser, 81, of York, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at his residence in York Township. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl L. (Waters) Moser, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born on March 8, 1945, in Auburn, New York, he was the son of the late David J. and Wilma G. (McManus) Moser. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany.

Marty dedicated 34 years of service to GEA, formerly known as FES, where he served as Parts Department Manager until his retirement in 2012.

He enjoyed home brewing and was a member of several home brewing organizations, including the York Home Brewers Association. An avid NASCAR and Formula One racing fan, he also enjoyed staying active as a dedicated member of PA Fitness. He was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown.

Some of Marty’s greatest joys came from traveling with his wife, exploring the beauty of our nation’s National Parks, and hiking the trails. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with family and friends, making memories that will be cherished for years to come.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Moser is survived by his daughter, Sarah L. Goetz and her husband, Martin of Scotch Plains, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Aidan and Millicent “Millie” Goetz; and nieces. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, James and Bruce Moser.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date to be determined. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is honored to serve the family.
