David C. Rauhauser

David C. Rauhauser, 81, died on Monday, April 17, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Jeannette A. (Strickhouser) Rauhauser who died on December 15, 2021. The couple had been married for over 50 years.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Burial will be private at Salem Union Cemetery.

Born on November 23, 1941 in York, he was a son of the late Lester and Grace (Bentzel) Rauhauser. David was a Tool & Die Machinist for Wolfe Tool & Machine Co. for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Rauhauser served our country for two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Faith U.C.C.

David was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, watching wildlife, camping and working in his garden. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Rauhauser is survived by his son, Scott Rauhauser of York; two daughters, Michelle Stanton and her husband, Chris of York and Nicole Campbell and her husband, Joel Jr. of Etters; three grandchildren, Liam Campbell, Cassie Campbell and Brielle Stanton; sister, Linda Rauhauser of York; and his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Cody.
