Daun B. (Bocam) Smith

YORK TOWNSHIP- Daun B. (Bocam) Smith, 80, of York Twp., formerly of Dallastown, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Smith. A Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. on Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 205 W. Main Street in Dallastown, with visitation from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Russell D. Clark will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Smith was born in Pottsville on April 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Harriet S. (Lynn) Bocam. She retired from BonTon in York. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Dallastown, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a resident and a volunteer at Country Meadows at Leader Heights. Mrs. Smith leaves two daughters: Lynn Farren and her husband Paul of Dallastown, and Loreen Kay Shaffer of York, five grandchildren: Tammy, Ashley, Jennifer, Kay and Doug, and two great grandchildren.
