Dao Thi Pham

YORK – Dao Thi Pham, 73, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Xuan Nguyen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York with Rev. James Menkhus, OFM Cap and Rev. Hoa Van Nguyen officiating. A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 PM Wednesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Born January 21, 1941 in Bui Chi, North Vietnam, a daughter of the late Mo Van Pham and Chi Thi Pham, she retired from Marriott Hotels. Mrs. Pham was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Vietnamese Catholic Assoc. of York. She was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Mrs. Pham is survived by a son, Hung Nguyen of York; three daughters, Kim-Cuc Duong and husband Chau Hong Duong of York, Kim-Anh Tran of Fairfax, VA, and Kim-Ngoc Nguyen and fiancée Andreas Ringstad of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn Thuy Uyen and husband Bryan Broerman, Michael Quoc, Collette Thanh, and Corinne Quynh Anh; and is expecting a great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Quang Duc Nguyen and wife Barbara Luu of Rosemead, CA; two sisters, Man Thi Pham of Vietnam and Xoan Thi Pham and husband Hap Duc Phan of Union City, CA; an adopted son, Chinh Huu Pham and wife Kim Hoang Pham of Columbia, MD and their children, Brian and Ethan Pham; and sister in law, On Thi Phan of Vietnam. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doa Thi Pham; and a brother, Nghiem Van Pham.
