Daniel L. McPherson, Jr.

Daniel L. “Buddha” McPherson, Jr., 57, of Felton, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. McPherson was born on June 8, 1968 in York; a son of the late Sandra J. and Daniel L. McPherson, Sr. He worked for Stewart & Tate Construction for 37 years and was a highly skilled heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 2024. Buddha was a member of the NDHP motorcycle fraternity where he helped bread and fry oysters to support the club’s charity oyster fry. He loved to socialize at Bones-n-Shells restaurant and was always there to help his neighbors plow their driveways. Buddha also loved tractors and farming equipment, animals, and was a lifelong fan of Chevy trucks and Harley Davidson motorcycles. During his childhood, he loved to go out with his grandpa fox hunting. He is loved and remembered by many.

Mr. McPherson is survived by a sister, Jessica M. McPherson of York; two aunts, Sandra and husband Marvin Nace of Crossroads, and Shirley Tolley of Seven Valleys; two uncles, Mike and wife Kim McPherson of Felton, and James and wife Ann Tolley of Winterstown; and several cousins, second cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl McPherson and Emma Herbst; maternal grandparents, Bud and Norene Tolley; two uncles, Steve Tolley and John Rudacille; and aunt Roxann Koons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Daniel may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.

Tribute services will be private. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
