Daniel W. "Boone" Kahlbaugh

Daniel W. “Boone” Kahlbaugh, 64, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at his residence in Dover Township.

Born April 04, 1962 in York, he was the son of the late Philip E. and Margaret L. (Uffelman) Kahlbaugh.

He was employed as an assembler with Johnson Controls for several years and previously worked for D.E. Ball Remodeling as a carpenter.

He was a member of several clubs throughout York, including the 9th Ward, 12th Ward, Vigilant Club, and Hawks Gunning Club. He had a passion for the outdoors and especially loved hunting, camping, and spending time on the golf course. An avid golfer and bowler, he always enjoyed a little friendly competition. He also loved gathering with family and friends around the grill, where he was known for his love of BBQ and his terrific homemade apple dumplings. His many hobbies, talents, and friendships brought him great joy, and the memories he created with those he loved will be cherished forever.

Boone is survived by three siblings, Pat S. Raynes of Dover (wife of the late Jeffrey Raynes), Edward P. Kahlbaugh and his wife, Sharon of Dallastown and Peggy L. Williams and her husband, Paul of Red Lion; several nieces and nephews and long-time close personal friend, Billie Jo Sponseller of West York. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Debra L. Raffensberger and Beth A. Smith and one great nephew, Layne D. Kern.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00AM, Monday, August 24, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Allison R. Duke. A visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11:00AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
