Dale Eugene Raynes

Dale Eugene Raynes, 70, died on Friday, August 26, 2022 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Yvonne “Bonnie” S. (Jacobs) Raynes. The couple wed on March 6, 1993 A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. A visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service. Born on February 18, 1952 in York, he was a son of the late Mack and Dorothy (Lytle) Raynes. Dale was a self-employed contractor for over 30 years. Mr. Raynes served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of LCBC in York. Dale loved everything about horses, enjoyed playing pool, building houses and loved dogs and cats. Along with his wife, Bonnie, Dale is survived by two sons, Chad Buchmyer and his wife, Bobbi of East York and Kevin Buchmyer and his wife, Tara of Seven Valleys; three daughters, Rebecca Hunter and her husband, Brian of East York, Elizabeth Kinard and her husband, Darren of Wrightsville and Janelle Hons and her husband, Todd of York; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jeff Raynes and his wife, Pat of Dover and Eddie Raynes and his wife, Sherry of Dover; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kasin Buchmyer; and sister, Debra Decime.
