DOVER – Clyde W. Ross, 84, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at UPMC Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Linda L. (Ruppert) Ross with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Born March 22, 1938 in Warrington Twp., he was the son of the late James B. and Goldie I. (Harlacher) Ross. He had worked at Grenewalt’s Used Cars for 45 years, many of those years as their body shop manager. He retired in 2015 from Brookside Motors. Mr. Ross was a lifetime member of Shortcreek Sportsman Club in Dillonvale, OH and former member of the York County Garagemens Assoc. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ross is survived by two sons, Bryan S. and wife Barbara Ross and Keith M. and wife Michelle Ross both of York; three daughters, Kathy M. and husband Dean Kohr of Manchester, Karen B. McQuait of York, and Lisa K. and husband Mark Wozniak of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren, Nicholas McQuait, Kaitlyn Kohr, Zachary Kohr, Courtney Ross, Allison Ross, Kristopher Ross, Evan Wozniak, Christiana Wozniak, and Grayson Wozniak; two brothers, John and James Ross; five sisters, Marie Stone, Gladys Hoke, Carolyn Stone, Ruthanna Beck, and Faye Powley. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Carl, Claude, and Robert Ross; and two sisters, Betty Emig and Margaret Ness.
Tribute services are private with burial in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
