SEVEN VALLEYS- Clinton E. “Clint” Goss, 85, of Springfield Township, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Janet M. (Richard) Goss. The couple would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Friedensaal Lutheran Church Cemetery in Seven Valleys. His pastor, The Reverend Doug DeStephano will be officiating at the service. Mr. Goss was born in McClure, PA on June 23, 1935, the son of the late Ernest C. and Ruth (Goss) Goss. He retired in 1997 from Caterpillar where he worked as a machine and tool designer for over 40 years. Mr. Goss was a long-time member of Friedensaal Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys. He was a member of the Red Lion American Legion Red Lion VFW, and Seven Mountains BlueGrass Association. He played many bluegrass jams in the area and in Florida, including entertaining residents at the Claremont Nursing Home in Carlisle. He was especially known for singing “Walmart Fever.” He served in the US Army. Mr. Goss leaves a son, Terry L. Goss of Mountville; three daughters, Lisa S. Hattaway and her husband Paul of Nashville, NC, Joan L. Goss and her spouse Mary Gurnavage of York, and Jennifer K. Lauer and her husband Mark of Cross Roads; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Gerald Goss (the late Joy), and Stanley Goss (the late Linda); two sisters, Arlene Edmiston (the late William) and Kay Hartman (Robert); and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a niece Elizabeth Goss.
