Clarence E. Ort

NEWBERRY TOWNSHIP- Clarence E. "Pete" Ort, 69, of York Haven died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was the husband of the late Dolly G. (Wigley) Ort. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. The Reverend David W. Slautterback will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery. Pete was born in Dover on April 17, 1941, a son of the late Walter H. and Florence N. (Shank) Ort. He was a member of the Wago Club and a US Army Veteran. Pete leaves a son, Edward J. Ort and his wife Ronna of York Haven; a daughter, Connie Burnside and her husband Rick of Mt. Wolf; a grandson, Michael Burnside, a great grandson, Blake Burnside; a sister, Pauline "Sis" Schaefer; three brothers, Clair "Cuz" Ort, Clayton Ort, and Barry "Peck" Ort, nieces and nephews and two step-sons, John Little of Florida and Dennis Hoffman of Chicago. Two sisters and five brothers preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater PA Chapter.
