Clair A. Krone

MANCHESTER – Clair A. Krone, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. He was the companion of the late Kathleen Mills, and husband of the late Beatrice (Sipe) Krone and Helen (Sloat) Krone. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Thomas Gilman officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born February 17, 1925 in York a son of the late Jacob and Clara (Dennis) Krone, he retired from International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542. Clair enjoyed traveling in his motor home and camping. Mr. Krone is survived by a stepson, Joel Renninger of Groton, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Carol Tyrell of Ridgefield, Conn.; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and a sister, L. Polly Brenneman of York. He was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Krone; and a sister, Treva Kreidler. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
