Christopher Oriasotie Ayewoh, 68, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Rose Eimhanehi (Giwa) Ayewoh and a devoted family man whose life was deeply rooted in love, strength, resilience, and tradition.
A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion with Pastor Osajele Ehikamenor, Ph.d. officiating the service. Born on July 4, 1957, in Uromi, Esan Northeast Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, Christopher was the beloved son of the late Vincent S. Ayewoh and Victoria A. (Ikeakhe) Ayewoh. During his career, he worked as a nursing home administrator for 22 years where he engaged in progressive and professional experience in long term health care. Mr. Ayewoh was the first black administrator at Willow Park Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Cleveland Ohio, where he worked from 1999-2005. Through his efforts, Willow Park was chosen as one of the best places to work in Ohio in 2003 and 2004.
Christopher shared his life with his beloved wife, Rose, and together they built a family filled with love and lasting memories. He was the proud and devoted father of Henrietta Debra Ayewoh, Ekata Nina (Ayewoh) Orah, and Ebosele Evans Ayewoh; a loving father-in-law to Richard Orah and Anne Joseph Ayewoh; and a proud and loving grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Amelia Irenosen Ayewoh.
Christopher was also a beloved brother to his four brothers, Michael Ayewoh, Lawrence Ayewoh, Sylvester Ayewoh, and Christian Ayewoh, and his five sisters, Justina Ayewoh, Gertrude Iloabache, Bibiana Onolememen, Mary Okushi, and Juliet Ayewoh. His love extended throughout his large family, including an army of nieces and nephews who proudly called him Uncle and will continue to honor his memory and carry his legacy forward.
A proud son of Uromi has returned home to rest. A great tree has fallen, but its roots remain strong, and its branches continue to grow.
Christopher Oriasotie Ayewoh will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
