Christine D. (Volz) Candisky

YORK—Christine D. (Volz) Candisky, 78, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at UPMC Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Willard Candisky, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Born June 2, 1947, in Westwood, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Kiefer) Volz. Following high school, Mrs. Candisky furthered her education with executive secretarial training at Berkeley College. Throughout most of her working life, she was employed in administrative roles.

Christine was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending Book Club in Easton at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband, Willard, she is survived by two daughters, Tracy Stoesser and her husband Dave, and Dawn Marchozzi and her husband Mead; four grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Stoesser, and Angelina and Maria Marchozzi; and a brother, William Volz.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be announced at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is assisting the family with arrangements.
