Christine Marie Burkins

FELTON- Christine Marie (Fauth) Burkins, 72, died on Friday, July 17, 2026 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Timothy I. “Tim” Burkins to whom she was married 53 years.

Born on February 2, 1954 in York, she was the daughter of Doris (Eberly) Shearer of Red Lion and the late Donald Fauth. Christine worked 37 years as an admissions counselor at Pleasant Acres until retiring in 2009. After retiring, she went back and worked part time at Pleasant Acres for another 5 years.

Christine enjoyed her fishing trips with her husband, traveling to the beach, especially Ocean City, MD, with her friends and family and spending time with her great nieces and nephews. She loved being around people and was an all-around great lady.

Along with her husband, Tim, Christine is survived by her brother, Donald Fauth, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Red Lion; niece, Jessica Kessler of Brogue; nephew, Travis Fauth and his wife, Lyndsay of Craley; great nieces and nephews, Elyse Kessler, Chase Kessler, Layla Fauth and Hope Fauth; and her aunt, Carol Blessing of Red Lion.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Chapel Church of Red Lion, 3050 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion with Pastor Chris Nauta officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is honored to serve the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society.
