YORK - Chester B. Tyson, 96, formerly of Red Lion, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Bailey) Tyson. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements with Vicar James V. Arter officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery. Born December 7, 1913 in Felton a son of the late John A. and Emma P. (Phillips) Tyson, he had retired after more than 25 years from Arnold Lumber Co. in Red Lion. He was a member of St. Paul (Lebanon) Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. Mr. Tyson is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Tyson Bull of Ocean City, MD; a son, C. Eugene and wife Judy Tyson of York; three grandchildren, Roxanne M. Davenport, Scott A. Tyson, and Jill E. Freemont; and five great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to York Cancer Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Rd., Suite 194, York, PA 17403.
