Charlotte M. (Miller) Altland

York – Charlotte M. (Miller) Altland, 84, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehab Center in York. She was the wife of the late Dempsey Clifford Altland. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with her Pastor, The Reverend Beth Schlegel officiating. A viewing will be held from 2-3 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Born January 20, 1931 in York, Charlotte was a daughter of the late Paul Eugene and Lillie E. (Brenneman) Miller. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in York. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Altland is survived by a stepson, Barry Altland and his wife Jane of York; two brothers, Edward Miller of Coco Beach, FL and Wayne Miller and his wife Paula of Boynton Beach, FL; a sister, Gloria Flaharty of York, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Miller, and four sisters, Pauline Nickol, Anna Murphy, Hazel Wilt and Dorothy Hawkins.
