Charlotte R. (Shepp) Duffey

YORK- Charlotte R. (Shepp) Duffey, 78, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Allan Edward Duffey III, who passed away on March 19, 2024. The couple wed on August 3rd, 1984.

A Celebration of Life tribute Service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Mark Fitch officiating. A viewing will be held from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with a funeral cortege meeting at the Pennsylvania Ave. entrance at 9:45 a.m. The service will be livestreamed around 5 p.m. at HeffnerCare.com on Charlotte’s obituary page.

Born on March 11, 1947 in York; she was the daughter of the late Clair and Helen (Slenker) Shepp. During her career she was a daycare teacher and had a passion for teaching kids. She was an attendee of LCBC church of York. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts and gardening.

Mrs. Duffey is survived by her two sons, Kevin Hale and wife, Christin of Cranston, RI, and Corey Hale of York; two daughters, Lisa Fuhrman of York and Christine Jordan and her husband, Anthony of York; four grandchildren, Eliot Hale, Julia Hale, Kiaya Reichert and her husband Don and Holly Klein and her husband Korey; three great grandchildren, Karter Klein, Elian Klein, and Sylas Fuhrman; one brother, Greg Shepp and wife, Diana; and two sisters Jeanette Conrad and husband, Earl and Shirl Baker.
