YORK – Charles E. “Charlie” Tiedebohl, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Senior Commons of Powder Mill.
A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Holy Trinity Charismatic Episcopal Church, 2285 Plank Rd., Stewartstown, PA 17349 with Father Mark Nelson officiating.
Born October 8, 1948, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Julia M. (Kramer) Tiedebohl. After graduating from high school in 1966, Charlie continued his education at the University of Maryland, obtaining a bachelor’s degree. Shortly after his graduation, Charles joined the U.S. Army National Guard where he served honorably for six years before his discharge in 1975. Charles was a dedicated self-employed financial advisor, providing valuable guidance to his clients throughout his career. Outside of his hard work, Charles was a member of Holy Trinity Charismatic Episcopal Church.
Remembered as a true aficionado of Disney, Charles had a fondness for classics such as "Mickey Mouse," "The Lion King," and "Peter Pan." Moreover, he embraced his love for games during his retirement years, dealing poker for different casinos. Most of all, he found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren and adored being a grandfather.
Surviving are his children, Scott C. Tiedebohl and his wife Jen of York, and Jennifer B. Rommel and her husband John of Harford, MD; four grandchildren, Drew Rommel, Julia Rommel, Addie Stump, and Lucas Tiedebohl; his life partner and friend, Pamela A. (Stivers) Tiedebohl; and his life-long best friend, Chuck Martin. He is preceded in death by his sister, Edith M. Nelson and her husband Bruce.

In every endeavor, Charles lived by the ethos captured in Frank Sinatra's iconic song, "My Way." He embraced life passionately, leaving a mark on those fortunate enough to know him. Charles will be deeply missed, remembered fondly, and celebrated for the wonderful life he led.
