Charles R. Coeyman

RED LION – Charles R. Coeyman, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at The Residence at Fitz Farm. He was the husband of Romaine V. (Keesey) Coeyman with whom he celebrated 75 years of marriage on January 15, 2024.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Steven Schmuck officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born January 25, 1927 in Felton, a son of the late Samuel A. and Barbara A. (Schroll) Coeyman, he worked in the test lab and was a welder until his retirement from York International in 1987. Charles was a former member of York Moose Lodge and Red Lion American Legion. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and animal lover. Mr. Coeyman honorably served in the US Army during WWII.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Coeyman is survived by a son, Gregory L. and wife Barbara Coeyman of Red Lion; a daughter, Sandra K. and husband Steve Fife of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Shawn and wife Susan Fife and Justin Fife, Melissa Rhodes, and Travis and wife Loren Coeyman; six great grandchildren, Ashley, Cali, Samuel, Ava, Melody, Levi, and Shepp; and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jody L. Coeyman; and four brothers, Harold, William, Wendall, and Dean Coeyman.
