Charles J. Gantz

RED LION- Charles J. Gantz, 92, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services-South. He was the loving husband of the late Helen E. (McCauley) Gantz. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with his pastor, the Rev. Curtis R. Weber officiating. A funeral cortege will form at 9:45 a.m. at the main entrance to the cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gantz was born June 2, 1918 in Shrewsbury, a son of the late Ray and Naomi (Bonnett) Gantz. He was a graduate of New Freedom High School. Mr. Gantz was a former employee of Berwick Transporters for over 16 years, and McCrory's Distribution Center for over 20 years until his retirement. Mr. Gantz is survived by a son, Charles R. Gantz of Wrightsville; a grandson, Ronnie S. Gantz and wife, Amy of Glen Rock; a brother James Gantz of Potosi, PA; and nieces and nephews.
