Charles Bert Mortimer

Charles "Bert" Mortimer POTTSVILLE-Charles "Bert" Mortimer, 61, of Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at home. Born in Pottsville, on January 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Bertram and Mary Birchess Mortimer. He was a 1964 graduate of Pottsville High School. Bert worked for the former Rockwell International, Reading, for over 35 years until he retired. He was a member of the Amvets, Catholic War Vets and the Yorkville Hose Company, all of Pottsville. He was also a member of the Tall Trees Rod and Gun Club, Tumbling Run and the 25 Pines Fish and Game, of Schuylkill Haven. Next to his family, Bert's passion was coaching and spending time at Railway Park, Pottsville. Bert is survived by his wife, Jane T. Potts Mortimer, of Pottsville, to whom he would have been married 43 years on August 13; his two daughters, Andrea J. Gogno, wife of Mike, of Pottsville, and Michelle L. Rose, wife of Bob, of Pottsville; his three grandchildren, Michael and Kelsey Gogno and Emily Rose. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
