Catherine R. (Dwyer) Miller

WILKES-BARRE-Catherine R. Miller, 92, of Wood Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday evening at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Plymouth on February 12, 1916, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Catherine G. (Carroll) Dwyer. She was educated in Plymouth Schools. Catherine was a member of St. Therese Church, Wilkes-Barre. She worked for Old River Road Bakery and the bakery in Boscov's. She later worked for Blue Cross of NEPA in the cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ralph O. Miller, who died October 11, 2005; two sisters, Margaret Ferguson and Rhett Dwyer; 6 brothers, Joseph, Gerald, Francis "Frank", George, John and Michael. Catherine is survived by; two daughters, Catherine Schwartz, at home and Maureen deLeur, Harvey's Lake; two sons, Ralph J., Beaumont and Andrew G. Sr., Ashley; 4 grandchildren, John Schwartz, Francis Parsons, Andrew G. Miller, Jr., Sean Miller; 4 great grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Jacob; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese Church, 25 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Shavertown. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
