Catherine 'Kay' Wanalista

Catherine Kay (Moore) Wanalista., 86, formerly of Plane St., Avoca, passed away Monday at Wesley Village, Pittston. Born in Pittston Township, she was a daughter of the late James and Cyrilla (Fox) Moore. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, Avoca, and the Avoca Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; daughter, Susan; sisters, Anne (Clem) Danoski, Mary (Joe) OBrien; brother, James Murph Moore. Surviving are her brother, Al Moore (Liz), Avoca; sister, Pat Murdock, Avoca; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m.at Kniffen OMalley Funeral Home, 728 Main Street, Avoca. Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Private interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Moosic. Kay request that Mass Cards & flowers be omitted & a donation to be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart 130 Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
