Catherine Ferguson

YORK – Catherine (Bartczak) Ferguson, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at York South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Ferguson to whom she was married for 42 years.

Born on March 7, 1945, in Cheltenham, England, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Shelia (Innes) Bartczak.

She was a loving and dedicated homemaker to her husband and son Robert. Later, she was employed part-time at WellSpan - York Hospital in Medical Records where she worked for 20 years until her retirement. Catherine was an avid reader and an excellent cook.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her son, Robert Ferguson of New Bridgeville; her grandson, Derrick Ferguson of Chanceford Township; her brothers, Joseph Bartczak of Ohio, and Kevin Bartczak of Melbourne, Florida; her brother-in-law, Richard Manson of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Manson; and her brother, David Bartczak.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30AM, Monday July 21, 2025 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon Co. Family and friends attending should arrive at the cemetery by 11:15AM.  Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
